Yesterday and today we had doctor appointments, one to check on me, and the other to check on our boy. Modified bedrest continues... likely until I deliver. I now am checking my blood pressure twice daily to closely monitor it and if there are any changes they may move up our induction date. Otherwise I'm hanging in there....and my dear husband is working hard at getting our place in order so we are as ready as we can be for our baby.
Now, for our boy.....that little guy, well- "little" doesn't come close to describing him...He is BIG! We are 33 1/2 wks pregnant, and Matthan is already 6 lbs 5 oz!!! Thankfully we will be induced in 4 weeks- otherwise he would be like 11-12 lbs! Neither Mark nor myself were very big when we were born...me just a little over 5 lbs and Mark 7 lbs 11 oz. However, they seem to think this is genetic and could be from my fathers side. My dad died when I was an infant- but from the pictures and from people's description he was "a giant"! So- Matthan...may be following in his footsteps. He had a bio-physical test today which monitors how he is breathing, movement- etc and scored 8 our of 8...so that's excellent. There are no concerns with Matthan currently except his size. We will have weekly scans and in 3 wks they will decide if he is too big for me to deliver naturally. He is likely to be at least 8 lbs- but possibly bigger at 37 weeks. Our preference and of course the doctor's would be to avoid a C section due to our "high risk" concerns. But they will just weigh the risks when the time comes.
Oh- and due to our concerns regarding the distorted view of the sonogram picture 2 wks ago :) (we thought Matthan looked like a duck), our very kind sonographer did a brief 4D scan to alleviate our concerns..and Boy is he a cutie! Chubby little face, my nose for sure..he opened his little mouth- it was so sweet. We just melted and cannot wait to snuggle with our little guy.
We appreciate all prayers for no blood pressure concerns, and slow weight gain for the baby in these next couple weeks.

Ah yay, so glad the test went well. Praying for the "grey" modified bedrest :) Enjoy all the rest now, even though it's hard!
