asher 9 months.

Asher is on the move! Crawling everywhere- and into everything! He loves chasing his big brother all around, and has recently started pushing their toy rocket up against the furniture and climbing up on the rocket then to the furniture!!! Matthan doesn't even do this- we just might have our hands full with this little fella! Your Daddy thinks you'll make a good wrestler one day, as you quickly maneuver your body to break away from anything or anyone trying to hold onto you. Changing Asher's diaper is quite the challenge often requiring two people- which can be interesting with the only extra hands I have around while Mark is working is Matthan's! :O)

Asher is a biter- or well, he thinks its funny to bite mommy! Not good. We are working on that. He now has 4 teeth. (ouch!) He remains super sweet- but he is also quite feisty! He is constantly going after what he wants- and hard to pin down. Changing his diaper is nearly impossible at times- as he is always on the go. He is waving and babbling some- but often he likes to sit quietly and play on his own- unless he's chasing his brother. He walks behind his push toys and of course pulls up on everything in sight. He LOVES shoes, and often will be seen racing over to get them as soon as someone takes them off. The gross thing is that what he loves is to chew on them! Yuck. Another thing Asher loves is his brother! Watching the way his face lights up each morning as soon as he sees Matthan really melts our hearts.

Sleep has been the biggest improvement in the past month. We started working with him more on sleep training. This has been heartbreaking for mommy, but has proved beneficial for everyone. He now tends to go to sleep around 8 and then wakes occasionally but if its before 12-1am we don't go in. So, he typically gets up twice around 1 am and 4am. Currently he is still getting fed during those wakings since he is still not taking solids. Some nights he even skips the 1 am waking and makes it 8 full hours! Napping is still a challenge- but we are at least still headed in the right direction.

We have had a whirlwind of an experience with handling his allergies. Ill post a seperate post about this- but we are hopeful that we are on our way to more clarity in this area. As a result not much change in the eating department.

Asher did have a doctors appt this month and he weighs a little over 21 pounds.

Happy 9 months sweet boy!
