7 months old.

Our little guy celebrated turning 7 months old yesterday. Some highlights from this past month: He is finally getting over his first cold these past few days-so he is in a much more active and pleasant mood. He has really been enjoying his new food. This boy certainly doesn't get his likes and dislikes from his mommy- he LOVES peas! He eats them better than some of the fruits he has tried! I'm so grateful that he likes healthy veggies. His favorite food so far are certainly peas and banana's although he really enjoys yogurt too. There is nothing he strongly dislikes that he has tried, although he has changed his texture preferences. With his cereal he loved it a little lumpy- well not anymore! Now if its at all thick he starts to gag...although if it has a tiny bit of fruit with it- he eats it right up!
Silly guy!

One day this week he FINALLY slept through the night! We have tried a number of different methods and our little one still seems to need that one feeding in the middle of the night. Well the other night he went to bed at 8 and didn't wake until 545am-and that was for a bottle and he was back to sleep until 8! Excellent! It was only one night....but its a step in the right direction- especially after almost 2 wks of many wakings due to his being sick! :O)

He continues to try to crawl...actually we aren't sure he is going to crawl. He has created his own way of getting around- its a combination of a hop and the army crawl. He just doesn't seem to want to use his knees as he should- and believe me his Daddy has certainly demonstrated for him what he should be doing! :O) His lack of crawling skills doesn't keep him from getting around and into things...we had to cover our first of many outlets!

He slowed down on his babbling while he was sick- but he is starting back up again and its so fun to hear him! He still loves to laugh and play -especially with his Daddy- and lately has started to have brief moments of seperation anxiety which we hope will not last too long.

We continue to marvel at the tremendous blessing that Matthan is to us- and give thanks to God daily for him. We look forward to see all that this next month will bring with our little one!
