asher 13 & 14 months.

Much overdue...Asher turned 13 months last month! In that month he mastered walking. He was taking some steps by the time he turned 1, but had continued to crawl most of the time. Now, he is basically running (from Matthan most of the time!). He is talking a lot, he easily repeats many of the words we ask him to say. Some of the things we frequently hear are: book, more, star, cow, moo, baa, quack-quack, cup, bowl, bottle, cracker, mimi, nanny, car, hot dog (he doesn't eat hot dogs, he says that for "dog", thanks to mickey mouse!), bye bye, hello (while holding my cell phone to his ear), and much more! We have been amazed at how quickly he is learning and watching is adorable little personality come out. Lately, he's started saying "Make a Mess" or "Making a Mess"

As mentioned in a previous post, Asher stopped nursing the week of his birthday due to my becoming ill. He did well with the transition, and has been eating lots! This boy is HUNGRY! He is very interested in everything we are eating, which of course, isn't always safe for him. However, it has been such a blessing to see how he is willing to try new foods. It's really helped me to see God's hand in his development, even in the things he will and will not eat. With Matthan being super picky and depending on yogurt for protein, I knew that wouldn't work with Asher's allergies. Thankfully, Asher LOVES chicken and beans-both of which are excellent for him, he will also eat ham & salmon. He still only eats banana's for fruit. However, he will eat most any vegetable (still puree form), potatoes, corn puffs, allergen free cereals, etc. He has started putting some weight on with his increase in appetite.

Who said I was eating puffs??

I know, I know- not the healthiest-but it's such fun to watch him enjoy these little treats!

His allergic reactions have occurred less and less often-thankfully! I think this is mostly just due to our being a little more on top of the things he cannot have and finding more variety in the things that are safe for him. His eczema is MUCH improved, thanks to consistency in his diet and a new skin care product! We are so grateful!!!

he found some reading materials outside!

He is sleeping through the night consistently! Praise the Lord!!!

In the last couple months we had some warm days, and he finally got to go outside and play. It was really his first time crawling and walking around in the grass. He loved it! At one point he was sliding across the grass (muddy!) on his belly smiling!

not the best quality pictures--but its our boys!! :O)

Asher's at such a fun stage. He loves books, cars, dancing to music, and most anything Matthan enjoys, and of course, mommy and daddy. He has such a fun laugh, and brings our home lots of joy!

We love you Asher!
