the boys and their check ups....

Today was a busy day...Matthan had his 9 month check up and we had an OB check up for baby boy #2.

Matthan's appointment was a little late, since he is almost 10 months now. He did great, he only had to get one shot. He is right on track with all his developmental milestones up to this point. He is a healthy guy, except for slowly getting over a cold. He is in the 95th percentile for all of his measurements. His stats are as follows...

Weight: 25 lbs and 10 ounces
Height: 31 inches
Head circumference: 48 cm

Our OB check up went well also. We discussed with the doctor about some of our concerns about regular vs. scheduled c-section delivery. It was a helpful discussion and basically we will wait until we are further along to determine what the best plan is for us. Our decision will likely be based on the baby's size and how I progress in the weeks before going into labor. I continue to feel pretty good. The baby's heart rate was in the 140's. He had the hiccups while we were there, which was neat to listen to through the heart monitor. He sounds like he is moving around well, although we haven't felt much movement, likely due to his position. Everything seems to be going well. We have a sonogram next Tuesday, so we'll post a picture as soon as we have one to share.

All in all, the boys are doing great. Matthan often pats my tummy, which is so sweet. Of course he has no idea that his baby brother is in there, despite our telling him. He is probably wondering what in the world is happening to his mommy's stomach! :O)
