I cannot believe our boy is 9 months old. It sounds like such a milestone- I guess it is, as the next big one is ONE YEAR! Matthan continues to grow and change rapidly! Based on our scale he weighs 26 pounds- the other day someone told me that's the size of a Kindergartner!!! :O) We don't have his official stats yet as his 9 month check up isn't until Sept 21...so those will follow later in the month. But this has been an eventful month for our little guy...
Some highlights from this past month....
-He now has 8 teeth!
-He is eating more and more regular food- he loves fruit (blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes----but not banana's unless they are baby food.)
-He doesn't like cake or icing...he acts like its sour in his mouth- yet he can suck on a lemon and love it! Silly guy!
-As previously posted, he began chewing on his crib this month- I guess with all the new teeth he needed something more than his teething bunny! The new crib guard is working wonderfully though!
-He continues to babble and try to say words- his latest and cutest is "UP". He likes to say this as we wants out of his crib & often while playing Peek-a-Boo with Daddy. It's precious!
-He loves his stuffed soccer ball and he chases it all over the house. Maybe a future soccer player- Daddy would love that!
-He loves to explore-especially the areas we try to keep him out of....
(Matthan is trying to quickly escape into the kitchen to "explore")
(He quickly returns...)
(He is a fast little crawler!)

-He has started having some anxiety at bedtime and especially needs mommy- this seems to be a phase that he is already starting to grow out of-thankfully, as it was hard to listen to at times. :o(
-He loves to clap his hands
-His favorite song is... "If you're happy and you know it".
-He has started moving his body to music & he hums at times
-He loves drumming with Daddy- he actually repeats beats back and forth with Mark-very cute.

-And last but certainly not least....he found out he is going to have a baby brother!

It's been a great month with Matthan, we are excited for Fall which is fast approaching as we hope to be able to do more outside play. The heat has been a bit much for both Matthan and Mommy! We'll be sure to post with his 9 month stats later this month! We love you Matthan Blue!

Your little guy is adorable, Brandy. You must be having so much fun!!
I cried with this one....oh my gosh. My grandbaby is soooo big and soooo precious. I love the ones where he is hiding inthe kitchen, trying to get into the pantry, I remember it was around that corner. However the picture following that one when he is looking back made me tear up. I cant wait to see him. i love you toooo Matthan Blue Brandenburg. Love, Mimi
