I'm a few days late on posting a few different things, so I hope to catch up soon. But on October 2- our boy turned 10 months old. This past month was mostly consumed with colds and coughs, but thankfully we are all better now.
Matthan has continued to work on saying "Duck" and "Book"- both of which he leaves off the "k" sound and replaces it with a "g". He has become much more interested in reading books- which is great. He especially loves a book called "Gossie & Gertie". Its a story about two little ducks who are best friends. Very cute.
He is consistently sleeping through the night now, which is a tremendous blessing. We found that the earlier he goes to bed the more likely he will sleep all night. He averages about 11 hours a night. Now if I could just go to bed when he does I'd be in excellent shape! :O)
He can stand for a brief moment before he realizes he isn't holding onto anything and he comes tumbling down. He hasn't changed much in his eating habits. He still loves baby food, fruit and veggies. He hasn't quite figured out how to use a cup- we have tried all kinds, he just likes to chew on them! He has started to assert his opinion about things...especially things he doesn't want to do..so we are working on that. :O)
This past month he did have his first night away from Mommy and Daddy. He did great-we were so thankful. We look forward to see all the ways he will grow and change in the coming months.
