We left for Nashville around 4am October 8. We had no idea how Matthan would do being in the car for such a long time, but he did excellent. He hardly fussed at all- and I think he slept 8 of the 12 hours we were driving.
While we were there we were able to visit lots of family and friends and celebrate my mom's birthday.
It was a good trip, Matthan did well meeting everyone and was pretty laid back despite the fact that he hardly slept each night! Here are some pictures from our time away...

We FINALLY got to meet sweet Annabel...she is 5 months old and a tiny 13 lbs- she is precious!

It was so great to see them- and to think that when these big boys were babies I helped take care of them- and Matthan was just soaking up all the attention he could get from them- it was a sweet moment.
We had dinner at Scott & Lindsey's house, their son Drew was eager to play with Matthan. As you see he is giving him a kiss on the forehead in the picture- he was very sweet with him.
Matthan kept showing his new trick of making noise as he strums his lips...here he and Scott are having fun both doing it. :O)

It's always such a busy time when we are in town and we can't see everyone- we were so excited to have run into my Aunt Donna in the parking lot when we were going into a store across town...so we grabbed a quick picture!
The night before we left to go home, Matthan met his Uncle Kevin for the first time...he is always so serious at first..here he is checking him out...
Thankfully he did warm up and have a good time playing.
Overall it was a good trip- the drive home was a bit exhausting due to bad weather but we finally made it after about 14+ hours. Matthan was so excited to be home even though it was 2 AM he was squealing and crawling all around so so excited. He slept amazingly well for days after we got home. He just loves being home and being in his own bed!!! :O)

bran your pictures are so awesome and really made me smile.With everything else you have to do how you find time to not only keep this up but to do this blog in such an incredible way. I really love to read each one and seeing who will make the Brandenburg Blog. I really enjoyed ya'lls visit and it ended too short.
