eleven months old.

This has been an eventful month for our eleven month old! He has grown leaps and bounds in his language development and we are waiting any day now for his first steps... He stands and squats while holding toys, balls, etc- but he isn't yet brave enough to take a step.

Some of the words he has been saying are...

Ball, Bob, Book, Bible, Bye Bye, Dog, Duck, Cat (as you can see- lots of "B" words)
Sometimes only Mark & I can interpret what he is saying, but he is certainly trying hard!
Often when Matthan wakes up in the morning, one of the first things he says is "Ball". So, we'll see, maybe he'll be a ball player one day!

When we ask him what a cow says he says, "Boo" :O)
and what does a dog say "ruff ruff".

Sometimes he will try to say "quack quack" for a duck.

He loves reading books and really seems eager to learn. When we tell him what an object is he gets a very serious look on his face like he is concentrating really hard. He then generally says the first sound of whatever word you are teaching him.

He loves playing ball. He has a big orange ball with a pumpkin face on it that his grandmother gave him, he loves to roll it to mommy and daddy- or just chase it around the house. He is even starting to bounce the ball to us.

This past month he has moved mostly to all table food, though he seems to still love a little baby food every now and then. He is slowly getting the hang of drinking from a cup-which is good because he seems to be losing interest in drinking bottles. He is weighing around 27 pounds.

He has been sleeping really well- 12 hours at night and still taking two good naps during the day.

He had his room rearranged this month...to make way for his baby brother to squeeze in there with him. We'll post pictures of his "new" room soon.

Just one more month and our baby boy will be a 1 year old!
We cannot believe how quickly this year has passed!!!
God has been good to us, and we are enjoying every moment with our little guy!
